며칠전 구글이 브릴로(Brillo)라는 IoT Platform 대신 Android Things라는 IoT Platform을
발표했다. https://developer.android.com/things/index.html
기존 Brillo 링크(https://developers.google.com/brillo)는 Things로 이동된다.
Things를 지원하는 기기는 Intel Edison, NXP Pico, Raspberry Pi3 이다.
이전에 Brillo의 경우 파트너사가, Intel, Marvel, Qualcomm, NXP, Imagination으로
ARM, x86, MIPS 기반의 하드웨어를 지원한다고 했는데,
현재 Things에서는 MIPS (Imagination)이 빠져버렸다.
(Qualcomm은 모르겠다... 지금은 NXP가 Qualcomm인 셈이니...^^;)
개인적인 소감은 IoT Platform으로는 여전히 헤비급 체격이다.
(소총 사격을 할 목표물에 토마호크 미사일을 쏘는 격...)
